The QWEN IMAGE LAYERED Workflow introduces a next-generation approach to image creation and editing in ComfyUI, powered by the Qwen Image Layered model. Unlike traditional text-to-image models that produce a single image output, this workflow generates images as multiple independent RGBA layers, unlocking true, non-destructive editability.

Each layer represents a distinct object or region, allowing you to move, resize, recolor, hide, or recomposite elements without affecting the rest of the image. This makes it an ideal solution for advanced creative workflows, compositing, and design pipelines.

What’s Included in This Workflow:

This setup includes two dedicated workflows, giving you maximum flexibility:

1️⃣ Image-to-Layers Workflow

Upload an existing image and automatically decompose it into multiple editable RGBA layers, making it easy to isolate subjects, backgrounds, and key elements for further editing.

2️⃣ Text-to-Layered Image Workflow

Use Qwen’s image generation capability to directly generate layered images from a text prompt, with each element output as a separate RGBA layer from the start.

Both workflows have been tested and fine-tuned to reduce generation time as much as possible, while still preserving layer quality and separation. Depending on your use case, some light tweaking may be needed to find the optimal balance between speed and precision.
